Sims Hinds

Sims Hinds has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of sports and entertainment venue development. Starting in 1988, Sims worked at SMG where they played a key role in securing new venue management agreements and helping the company grow from 16 accounts to over 100, establishing its position as a world leader in the industry. Sims then joined Carolina Hurricanes in 1996 as Vice President of Arena Management, where they oversaw the development of arenas in Raleigh and Fort Myers. Sims continued their career at Richard Childress Racing from 2002 to 2005 as Director of Business Development, coordinating efforts to significantly expand sponsorship portfolios. Sims then held senior management roles at SMG and AEG, focusing on business development, venue expansion, and international growth. Sims joined HKS in 2010 as Managing Director, leading the firm's event practice and coordinating advisory services for notable clients. Most recently, Sims has been working at Oak View Group as Senior Vice President of Development - OVG Facilities since 2017.

Sims Hinds attended Randolph-Macon College from 1971 to 1973. Prior to that, they attended Northside High School. No degree or field of study is specified for either educational institution.
