Melva Allen is a seasoned human resource professional with extensive experience in training, recruitment, and employee development. Currently serving as Human Resource Manager - Learning & Engagement for Oakland County, Michigan since February 2015, Melva oversees the coordination of training programs, develops in-house training initiatives, and manages recruitment and retention marketing efforts for the county. Prior to this role, Melva worked as an Employment Training Specialist at Michigan Works! Southfield, where responsibilities included case management and employee training oversight in federally funded programs. Additionally, Melva served as a board member and corresponding secretary for the Oakland County Employment Diversity Council, contributing to leadership and event planning. Melva holds a Master's degree in Management from Walsh College and a Bachelor's degree in Information & Records Technology from Davenport University.
