Rachel Smith FCA has over 20 years of work experience in finance and accounting. Rachel is currently serving as the Finance Director at The Oakland Group since March 2021. Prior to this, Rachel owned and directed RLS Finance, where they provided flexible Finance Director and Accounting services on an interim and part-time basis to growing businesses from June 2018 to February 2021. Rachel also worked as a Portfolio Finance Director at Crysp - Compliance at your Fingertips from February 2021 to May 2021.
Before starting their own business, Rachel held various senior managerial positions at Asda from 2010 to 2018, including Senior Manager - Retail Change, Senior Wage Planning Manager, and Senior Manager, Commercial Finance. Rachel also served as the Divisional Financial Controller and Group Accountant at Provident Financial from 2007 to 2010. Rachel began their career as a Commercial Accountant at Arla Foods in 2005 and worked as an Auditor/Audit Manager at PwC from 2001 to 2005.
Rachel Smith FCA obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Leeds from 1998 to 2001.
