Richard Corderoy has a diverse range of work experience. Richard started their career in the Royal Navy, serving as an Engineering Officer on submarines and later working in organisational design and change at the RN Fleet Head Office. Richard then joined PA Consulting Group, where they delivered organisational change projects for various clients. At HBOS, Richard worked in strategy and planning for the Halifax/Bank of Scotland Branch Network. Richard later joined Lloyds Banking Group as Head of Strategy for Retail Customer Experience and then as Programme Director for Risk Transformation. Currently, Richard is the Managing Director of The Oakland Group, where they enable the team to solve complex business problems and combines advanced analytics with process and quality transformation. Richard is also a Partner and co-leader of the Data Quality and Analytics Function at Oakland, as well as a Partner at the Oakland Institute for Business Research and Education, contributing to research on quality and operational excellence.

Richard Corderoy began their education at Plymouth Manameed College from 1987 to 1994, where they obtained their A Level / GCSE degree. Richard then attended the University of Cambridge from 1995 to 1999, graduating with a 1st degree in Engineering (Manufacturing Engineering Tripos). In terms of additional certifications, Richard obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2020. Richard also holds the CQP MCQI certification, although the institution and specific details regarding its completion are not provided.
