Harmela Beyene

Harmela Beyene is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in program management and coordination. Currently serving as the CREWS Program Manager at Oakland Promise since November 2019, Harmela has also held roles as Associate Manager and Mentor Program Coordinator within the organization. Prior experience includes positions at Pomona College, where Harmela worked as a Summer Conference Assistant, Women's Union Staff, and Student Office Assistant from August 2016 to August 2019. Additionally, Harmela gained legal experience as a Legal Intern at Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County and worked as a Communications Intern at IPEAFRO. Harmela also served as a Summer Academy Professor for Next Generation Scholars. Harmela Beyene holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Analysis from Pomona College and studied International Politics at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro.
