Oakland Promise
Viridiana Avalos is currently a Summer Training Teaching Assistant at Genesys Works Bay Area, having also served in this role previously. In addition, Viridiana is an Oakland Promise Scholar and actively participates in various programs, including the Talent Development Pipeline Program at Genesys Works, where skills for workplace readiness are developed. Recent experience includes an internship at the Stupski Foundation and involvement with the GreenLight Fund’s Community Advisory Council. Prior roles include administrative assistance at Brash and various internships focusing on employment readiness, team collaboration, and communication skills. Viridiana Avalos holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from California State University - East Bay and an Associate's degree from Chabot College, along with a Business and Data Analytics Certificate from Golden Gate University.

Oakland Promise is available to young learners (from newborns to college students) and their families provide every child with financial resources, educational programming, mentorship, and a supportive community to assist them and their families in pursuing and succeeding in higher education and the career of their choice.
