Cecile Kohl

Cecile Kohl is a Compliance Specialist and Paralegal at Oakland Schools since July 2020, responsible for researching and recommending policy changes, ensuring program compliance with laws, and updating contracts and district documents. Prior to this role, Cecile served as a Legal Editor at LexisNexis for nearly two decades, focusing on research, writing, and editing across various areas of law while also achieving Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification. Earlier experience includes positions as Associate Attorney at the Law Offices of Hugh Dean and Robert B. Labe, P.C., handling estate planning and probate matters, and Staff Attorney at Flagstar Bank, where legal document development and review were central responsibilities. Cecile holds a Master of Laws in Taxation and a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
