Amy Likar

Musician at Oakland Symphony

Amy Likar is the Director of Training at the Association for Body Mapping Education. Amy is also a Flute Instructor at St. Mary's College of California, a Musician and teaching artist mentor at the Oakland Symphony, an Alexander Technique Teacher at the Alexander Technique Studio, and a Freelance Musician specializing in flute, piccolo, and alto flute. Additionally, Amy previously served as an Adjunct Professor of Flute at Ashland University. Amy holds degrees in Music Performance and Music Education from Kent State University and The Ohio State University, as well as certification as an AmSAT Certified Alexander Technique Teacher from the Alexander Training Institute of San Francisco.

In addition to presenting their own concerts and workshops, the OSC collaborates with many performing arts groups. Oakland Symphony Youth Orchestra Omid Zoufonoun, Youth Orchestra Principal Conductor The Youth Orchestra is recognized as an outstanding musical organization in Oakland and the San Francisco Bay area. Today it consists of over 100 talented music students aged 12 to 22 from throughout the region.
