Tom Barnidge has extensive experience in journalism, currently serving as a Metro Columnist for the Contra Costa Times since April 2004, providing commentary on regional news and cultural events three times a week. Previously, Tom held the position of sports editor for the Bay Area News Group-East Bay newspapers, where responsibilities included managing sports departments. Prior to this, Tom worked as the Executive Editor for the National Football League from December 1991 to June 2003, overseeing the editing of various publications, including the Super Bowl Program. Tom earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1966 to 1970.
