Cecilia Terrazas

Cecilia Terrazas is an experienced educational professional with a diverse background in teaching and administration. Currently serving as the Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator and Assistant Principal at Oakland Unified School District since August 2016, Cecilia has also held the position of Ethnic Studies teacher. Prior to this, Cecilia worked at RYSE Youth Center as the Education and Career Director from August 2009 to July 2016 and served as a Social Science Teacher for Centinela Valley Union High School District from June 2002 to June 2007. Early career experience includes working as an Early Childhood Educator at UCLA Early Child Care Center from January 1998 to July 2002. Academic achievements include a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Social Work with a focus on Management and Planning from the same institution. Cecilia also holds a Single Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from UCLA.
