Niamh Gallagher

Niamh Gallagher is an experienced Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Coordinator currently working at the University of Sunderland since September 2022, where efforts focus on integrating EDI principles into training and events for both staff and students. Prior experience includes serving as an EDI Intern at Newcastle University from September 2019 to September 2022, contributing to the analysis of EDI survey data for the Faculty of Medical Sciences. Niamh has also held various customer service roles, including a Customer Assistant at Subway and a Weekend Staff position at Royal Mail, where skills in communication, time management, and customer service were honed. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Newcastle University and ongoing studies at the University of Sunderland for a Master of Science in Inequality and Society, alongside a Level 2 certification in Dementia Care.
