Coron Brinson, M.Ed, MPA, currently serves as the High School Assistant Principal at Oakland Unified School District, a position held since August 2022. Brinson has extensive experience in educational leadership, previously working as High School Dean of Instruction at Aspire Bay Area Public Schools and Director of School Culture at Cristo Rey De La Salle East Bay High School. Additionally, Brinson has held roles as an 8th Grade Teacher, 7th Grade English/Language Arts Teacher, and 2nd Grade Teacher, alongside experience in behavior intervention and parent organization. A graduate of multiple institutions, including California State University - East Bay and the University of Southern California, Brinson is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership at San Francisco State University. Brinson co-created the district's first racial affinity group, The Black Collective, highlighting a commitment to diversity and community engagement.
