Courtney McLaughlin

Courtney McLaughlin currently serves as Assistant Principal at Oakland Unified School District, a position held since July 2023. Previously, Courtney dedicated a decade to Aspire Public Schools, where roles included Middle School Team Lead & Mentor Teacher, focusing on coaching and co-teaching within the Alder Teacher Residency Program to enhance instruction for vulnerable student populations. Additional experience includes teaching middle school math and serving as an after-school educator. A background in software training was gained while working at icon-scm. Courtney's academic credentials comprise a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution. Additionally, coursework was completed at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
