Sean Van Straatum has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, currently serving as the Assistant General Manager and Director of Food and Beverage at Oakmont Country Club since October 2018. Prior roles include General Manager of Avec Nous Restaurant at Viceroy Hotel Group and Dining Room Manager/Sommelier at Viceroy L'Ermitage Beverly Hills, where Sean was instrumental in achieving a Michelin Star. Previous experience includes positions at The Peninsula Chicago, Charlie Trotter's Restaurant, and various internships in prestigious culinary environments. Sean also contributed to the Hotel and Restaurant Foundation as a Board Member, focusing on fostering new leaders in the hospitality field. Education includes a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
