Megan Ellis

Megan Ellis has extensive experience in human resources, primarily in the senior living industry. Megan worked as a Regional Human Resources Business Partner at Oakmont Senior Living from 2017 to the present. Prior to that, they were the Human Resources Director at Villa Valencia Senior Living under Five Star Senior Living from 2012 to 2017, where they managed a team of eight and oversaw various HR functions. Megan also held the position of Human Resources Manager at Sunrise Senior Living from 2006 to 2012, where they successfully managed the transition from Sunrise Senior Living to Five Star Quality Care. Earlier in their career, Megan served as the Human Resources Manager & System Administrator at NRPI in 2006, where they assisted in the strategic development of the HR Department. Megan started their professional journey as a Human Resources Director & System Administrator at St. John Knits from 1996 to 2006, where they integrated HR systems and ensured compliance with labor laws. Megan began their career at Macy's in 1978, where they held various positions, including HR Team Project Coordinator, and played a key role in the conversion of HR systems during the Macy's West merger.

Megan Ellis obtained an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Irvine Valley College, which they attended from 2014 to 2016. In addition to their degree, they also obtained a Residential Care For The Elderly Administrator (RCFE) certification in November 2015 from the State of California Department of Social Services CCL. Megan has also acquired several additional certifications including a COBRA Certificate from COBRA Resources, Inc, a Certificate of Completion FMLA from the Council of Education in Management, and a Computerized Office Skills certification from the Computer Education Institute. Furthermore, they have completed the Human Resources Certificate Program from both Employer's Group and the University of California, Irvine.
