Paul Napthine

Paul Napthine is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in managing organizations that support disadvantaged young people. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Oarsome Chance since June 2021, Paul focuses on leveraging sport and vocational training to create positive change in the Portsmouth, Gosport, and Havant areas. Previously, as Head of Operations at YMCA DownsLink Group, Paul was responsible for operational management and strategic community engagement at the Guildford YMCA. With earlier roles including Director of Operations and Partnerships at Sported, senior management positions at Surrey County Council, and experience in community development, Paul has consistently demonstrated a commitment to supporting vulnerable demographics through innovative programs and partnerships. Paul holds a BSc (Hons) in Leisure Management from Writtle University College.
