Pieter Daniel Theron

Pieter Daniel Theron is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the financial and legal sectors. Currently serving as Group Legal Counsel at Oasis Crescent since April 2021, Pieter oversees legal, compliance risk, and company secretarial functions. Prior to this role, Pieter was a Partner at De Waal Inc. Attorneys, where strategic leadership and management of a law firm were key responsibilities, with a focus on corporate transactions and insurance law. As a Senior Associate at Lucas Dysel Crouse Inc., Pieter practiced commercial and corporate law, litigation, and mergers and acquisitions. Earlier experience includes serving as a Candidate Attorney at BDP Attorneys, and as a Legal Advisor at The Shoprite Group of Companies, managing the property portfolio and corporate transactions. Pieter holds an MBA in Commercial Law and Corporate Law from Stellenbosch Business School and a Practical Legal Training Certification from the University of Cape Town.
