Javier Alaniz

Javier Alaniz currently serves as Manager of Network Management & Engagement at the Obama Foundation, a position held since November 2022, after previously working as a Senior Associate in the same department. Prior experience includes a tenure at Public Allies from August 2014 to July 2022, where roles included Director of Strategic Partnerships and National Site Consultant, Training Manager. Javier's background also encompasses positions at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, starting as Club Manager and advancing to Assistant Coordinator for the RBI program, and service as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Additional experience includes serving as Teen Program Coordinator at Neighborhood House of Milwaukee and as an AmeriCorps Member. Javier holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and History from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, completed between 1999 and 2004.
