Jeanelle C.

Jeanelle C. has a diverse and extensive work experience in fundraising and development. Jeanelle has worked in various organizations, including the Obama Foundation, where they served as the Deputy Director of Development for the Chicago Campaign + Leadership Council. Jeanelle established the Development Leadership Councils and launched the Chicago Campaign Committee. Jeanelle also conceptualized and activated resource development strategies and implemented a Culture of Philanthropy organization-wide.

Prior to that, Jeanelle worked at The University of Chicago as an Associate Director of Major Gifts, where they facilitated the development of fundraising strategies and piloted a Constellation Tour. Jeanelle also served as an Associate Director of Development at the Chicago Sinfonietta, where they were responsible for raising contributed income and managing the Annual Fund campaign.

Before that, they worked at The Art Institute of Chicago as a Constituent Relations Assistant, handling donor-related programs and events. Jeanelle also worked at the International Anesthesia Research Society as a Membership Coordinator, where they revitalized membership programs and managed the society's CRM system.

Earlier in their career, Jeanelle worked at AsianWeek Foundation, Asian Art Museum, San Francisco State University, and UC San Diego, gaining experience in development, publicity, media coordination, research, and marketing.

Jeanelle C. obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Arts from UC San Diego in 2006. Jeanelle then pursued a Master of Arts degree in the Art Administration and Policy Program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion In the Workplace Certificate from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business in 2020 and the ASAE Membership Professional Certificate from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership in 2011. Jeanelle was also awarded the Certificate of Recognition as a 2010 AsianWeek Foundation Volunteer by California State Assemblywoman Fiona Ma.
