Joseph Vitale

Joseph Vitale, Jr., MPA, PHR, serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Oberlin College & Conservatory since May 2015, focusing on the recruitment, development, and retention of a diverse workforce while enhancing communication amongst employees. Prior to this role, Joseph held various positions at Kent State University, including Vice President for Human Resources and Director of Talent Management, where responsibilities included leadership in staffing and policy formulation. Previous experience includes partnership at Fidelity Executive Search, area management roles at Ajilon Finance Solutions and MSI International, and serving in the U.S. Senate as Deputy Director of Finance for Senator John Glenn. Joseph holds a Bachelor's degree in Social & Behavioral Sciences from The Ohio State University and a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Phoenix.
