Sandra Christensen, MSN, ARNP, FNP-BC, FOMA, FAANP, serves as a Board Trustee at the Obesity Medicine Association since October 2019 and has been the Owner and Obesity Medicine Specialist at Integrative Medical Weight Management since October 2009. With a specialization in obesity medicine since 2005, Sandra previously worked as a Nurse Practitioner at the Center for Medical Weight Management at Swedish from July 2005 to October 2009 and at Planned Parenthood of Western Washington from December 2002 to July 2005. Sandra holds a Master’s in Nursing Leadership from Seattle Pacific University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Washington, and an Associate of Science in Registered Nursing from Everett Community College.

The Obesity Medicine Association (OMA) is the largest organization of clinicians dedicated to preventing, treating, and reversing the disease of obesity. Through unique, accredited educational resources, collaboration, and thought leadership, we continue to advance the practice of obesity medicine and deliver evidence-based treatments. We believe that sustained comprehensive, individualized treatment plans - improves overall health and provides hope for those affected by obesity. OMA members are physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare providers who take a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to treating obesity. This approach is comprised of nutrition, physical activity, behavior, and medication – OMA's four pillars.
