Joel Place, CPCU

Joel Place, CPCU has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Joel began their career in 2003 as an Underwriter at Buckeye Insurance Group. Joel then held roles as Underwriting Manager, AVP Underwriting, and AVP Product Development at the same company. In 2019, they moved to Root Insurance Company as Director of Underwriting. Joel then joined Clearcover in 2020, where they held roles as Director of Underwriting and Insurance Product Director. In 2022, they moved to GloriFi as Head of Underwriting and is currently at Obie as Head of Underwriting Operations.

Joel Place, CPCU, obtained a Bachelor of Science in MIS from Miami University between 1998 and 2002. Joel also holds certifications in API and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters.
