Dave Schukin

Dave Schukin has had a long and varied career in the tech industry. Dave began their professional career as a Research Assistant in the Department of Computer Science at UC Davis in 2008. In 2009, they became a Software Engineer at Digital Foundry, Inc. Dave then moved on to Amazon in 2011 as an iOS Developer. In 2012, they became a Senior iOS Engineer at Yammer, Inc. and then a year later they were an Engineer #1 at ServiceMax Zinc. In 2014, they were a Senior iOS Engineer at Twitter. In 2016, they became a CEO/cofounder at Buglife, Inc. and in 2019 they became the CEO/cofounder at Observant, an iPhone-based driver monitoring system that uses machine learning and infrared depth sensors to detect unsafe driver behavior, prevent accidents and save lives.

Dave Schukin attended Y Combinator in 2018. Dave then went on to receive a BS in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of California, Davis. Prior to that, they attended Lycée Français de San Francisco and Redwood High School.
