Cliff Swadling has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Cliff has held various roles at different companies throughout their career.
From 1998 to 2003, Cliff worked at Baker Hughes as an Operations Manager.
Cliff then joined Apache Corporation in 2004 and held several positions, including Field Operator, Subsurface Coordinator, Senior Production Foreman, and Field General Manager in Egypt.
In 2012, Cliff moved to Devon Energy and worked as a Leader in Process Engineering and Continuous Improvement until 2015.
In 2016, they briefly worked as an EOR Manager at Bankers Petroleum Ltd.
In 2017, Cliff joined Obsidian Energy Ltd. as a Production Operations Manager. Cliff was later promoted to Senior Director of Production and Operations and is currently working as the Vice President of Operations starting in January 2022.
Cliff Swadling obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc HON) in Physics from the University of Calgary between 1995 and 1998. In 2010 and 2011, they pursued a Certificate in Financial Analysis and Cross Cultural Negotiations at the London Management Centre. From 2013 to 2014, Cliff completed a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt program at the Pyzdek Institute, emphasizing Continuous Improvement. Lastly, between 2017 and 2019, they obtained multiple certifications in Sailing through the American Sailing Association (ASA), namely ASA 101, 103, 104, 114, 118, and 119.
