Dino Petrakos

Dino Petrakos is a skilled geologist with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as a Geologist at Obsidian Energy Ltd. since June 2022. Previously, Dino held the position of Senior Geologist at Gear Energy Ltd. from June 2017 to June 2022, focusing on optimization and development of Heavy Oil North Assets. At Cenovus Energy, from January 2012 to June 2017, Dino worked as both Staff and Senior Geologist, contributing to the mapping and production maximization of the Mannville formations in southern Alberta and the Pelican Lake Field. Prior experience includes leading geological efforts at Emerge Oil and Gas and CNRL, where Dino demonstrated a strong technical acumen and collaborative approach, resulting in significant production growth and the development of geological models. Dino holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of New Brunswick, earned between 1995 and 2002.
