Justin Britch's work experience begins in 2011, where they served as an Automation Intern at Experian, primarily administering and improving their JIRA system. Justin then moved on to inXile Entertainment in the same year, where they worked as a Quality Assurance/Level Design Intern, testing Choplifter HD and later implementing DLC missions using Unreal Engine 3.
In 2012, Britch worked as a Web Production Intern at Blizzard Entertainment, where they aided in creating pre-order campaigns for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria and Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm. Justin also managed tasks and worked on standardizing JIRA use within the Battle.net department.
Britch joined Obsidian Entertainment in 2013 as a Development Operations/Production Intern, where they created the Development Operations department and served as the Maps Producer on Armored Warfare. Justin later transitioned to the role of Associate Producer for Pillars of Eternity: The White March, managing tasks, budget, and timeline for the project. Justin then rose to the position of Producer for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, responsible for coordinating work and eliminating obstacles for internal and external teams.
In 2018, Britch became the Lead Producer/Senior Producer for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, working closely with all internal and external teams to ensure a smooth project workflow. Justin was later promoted to the position of Head of Development/Executive Producer at Obsidian Entertainment, overseeing the Game Directors, Production Directors, and Studio Discipline Directors. Justin'sresponsibilities included cultivating talented developers, maintaining project understanding, and fostering a positive working environment.
In 2019, Britch became an Instructor for the Games Entrepreneurship course at the UCI Game Design & Interactive Media Program, providing an overview of the non-game development aspects of creating and releasing a video game, such as starting a studio, pitching games, and PR/marketing.
Justin Britch obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Information Management from UC Irvine, where they studied from 2010 to 2015. In May 2018, they obtained the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
