Meisam Bakhshayeshi

Meisam Bakhshayeshi currently serves as the Senior Director of Process Development at Obsidian Therapeutics since January 2024 and is a member of the Technology Advisory Board at ChromaTan, Inc. since October 2023, focusing on the development of a columnless, single-use, continuous elution chromatography purification platform. Bakhshayeshi has extensive experience in the biotech industry, having held positions such as Senior Director and Head of CMC at Intergalactic Therapeutics, where responsibilities included process and analytical development for bacterially produced C3DNA, and Director of Process Development at Tessera Therapeutics, specializing in AAV and LNP process development. Previous roles at Biogen involved gene therapy process development and protein biologics, demonstrating a robust background in various therapeutic modalities. Bakhshayeshi holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University and both an MSc and BSc in Chemical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
