Jerome Dinal Herath

Jerome Dinal Herath has worked in the field of security and data science since 2017. Jerome Dinal began their career as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Colombo in 2017. In the same year, they also began working as a Graduate Research Assistant at Binghamton University, where they completed PhD research projects such as CFGExplainer, Log-Anomaly-Mask, RAMP, and SciBlock. Jerome Dinal also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the same university. In 2022, they began working as a Security Data Scientist at Obsidian Security.

Jerome Dinal Herath obtained their Bachelor of Science in Computational Physics from the University of Colombo in 2017. Jerome Dinal then completed a Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2015. From 1997 to 2011, they attended St. Josephs College, Colombo 10, Sri Lanka, where they obtained their Ordinary Level and Advanced Level qualifications, as well as serving as Assistant Head Prefect. Jerome Dinal is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science at Binghamton University and is expected to complete their degree in 2022. Jerome Dinal has also obtained certifications in Introduction to Machine Learning in Production and Machine Learning Data Lifecycle in Production from DeepLearning.AI in 2023.
