Milindu Sanoj Kumarage

Milindu Sanoj Kumarage has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and development. Milindu Sanoj currently serves as the Lead Software Engineer at ObvioHealth, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Google Developer Expert in Cloud at Google Developers since October 2018. Milindu also served as a Senior Software Engineer at Lexagle from November 2020 to July 2022, where they worked on React micro-frontend apps, led the development of a reusable component library, and introduced React Storybook-based development and snapshot testing.

Before their role at Lexagle, Milindu worked at Sysco LABS Sri Lanka, starting as a Software Engineer in February 2017 and eventually becoming an SRE Team Lead. In this role, they led a team of 6 members and was responsible for the reliability of the Sysco Shop platform, DevOps infrastructure and processes, as well as production releases and protocols.

Milindu's entrepreneurial experience includes being a Co-Founder of RSVP.lk from January 2015 to January 2020. Additionally, they have actively contributed to the tech community as a GDG Sri Lanka Organizer for Google Developer Group Sri Lanka from 2015 to 2020, and as a Google Code In mentor and admin at SCoRe Lab from 2015 to 2019.

Outside of their professional career, Milindu has held leadership positions such as President of the IEEE Student Branch of University of Colombo School of Computing in 2016 and Vice President of the Catholic Student Movement of University of Colombo from 2015 to 2016.

Milindu Sanoj Kumarage earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Colombo School of Computing, from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended St. Peters College in Colombo from 2002 to 2011 and Prince Of Wales College from 1996 to 2001. Milindu also pursued additional certifications in various fields such as Good Clinical Practice, Application Development, Google Cloud Platform, Java ME 1 Mobile Application Development, Software as a Service, and Oracle certifications. Milindu Sanoj obtained these certifications from institutions such as NIDA Clinical Trials Network, Coursera, and Oracle.
