Lee Deas has a diverse work experience in various roles. In 2005, they founded Obviouslee, a company that focuses on personalized services. Lee also co-founded Citibot in 2016, which provides communication tools for citizens and governments. From 2015 to 2021, they served as the Chairman of the Board at Palmetto Goodwill, an organization that supports individuals and families through education and work programs. In addition, they have held positions as a partner at Island Coastal Lager, a founding member at Pecha Kucha Charleston + Parliament, and a board member at Lowcountry Local First. Lee was also the President of Charleston AMA - American Marketing Association in 2008. Currently, they serve as the Board Chair at Palmetto Excel Center.
Lee Deas holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of South Carolina. In 2018, they completed the Diversity Leadership Institute at the Riley Institute at Furman University. In 2019, they obtained certifications from the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program.
