Roland Armstrong has over 19 years of experience in various roles within the field of cyber security, avionics, and technical support. Roland is currently employed at OBXtek as a PKI Encryption Engineer. Prior to this, they worked at ACS Solutions as a Vulnerability & Security Engineer. From 2017 to 2021, Roland was a Cyber Security Engineer at X Technologies, Inc., where they provided development, testing, and implementation of security architectures. Before that, they worked as a Security Engineer at Telos Corporation for a brief period. Roland also has experience in the field of avionics, having worked as a Field Engineer and then as an Avionics Technician at Lockheed Martin from 2011 to 2016. Roland started their career in 2002 as an Inflight Avionics Tech in the US Navy, where they performed maintenance on aviation electronic components and systems. In 2016, Armstrong pursued a Full Stack Web Development Certification from freeCodeCamp, deepening their understanding of computer software engineering. Roland successfully completed the program in 2018.
Continuing their educational endeavors, Armstrong pursued a Juris Master degree with a field of study in Law from Florida State University. Roland'senrollment began in 2021 and is expected to conclude in 2022.

Later, in 2017, they attained the Certified Ethical Hacker certification from EC-Council. More recently, in 2023, Armstrong acquired the CipherTrust Manager 2.11 certification from Thales and the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
