Carmen Jerg

Carmen Jerg is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in project management and research in the field of aerospace, energy, and materials science. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager in R&D at Oerlikon since August 2016, Carmen oversees customer projects with a focus on turbine applications for the aerospace, power generation, and oil & gas sectors. Responsibilities include technical leadership, process definition, project feasibility evaluations, and the development of market-specific coating processes. Prior roles include Scientific Project Manager at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE, where Carmen conducted applied research on coatings for solar energy applications, and a research assistant at Julius-Maximilians University, where Carmen supported inorganic chemistry research. Carmen holds a Dr. rer. nat. in Chemistry and a Diplomchemikerin degree from Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg.
