John Martin

John has extensive operational and financial management experience, running several large international B2B and B2C businesses.

He has occupied the position of CEO of NYSE/FTSE 100 distributor, Ferguson plc, CFO of FTSE 100 distributor and business service company, Hays plc and CFO of Travelex Group.

Before joining the Ocado team as CEO of Ocado Solutions in 2023, John supported the Ocado Group board for over 4 years as Non-Executive Director.

Prior to this, John graduated from Imperial College, London in 1987 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen, where he worked for nine years in audit, operational consulting and corporate finance. He was also Group Controller of The Stationery Office Group after its privatisation in 1996.
