Vladimir Kolesnikov

Vladimir Kolesnikov is a Senior Data Scientist at Ocado Retail Ltd since March 2021, previously holding a similar role at Santander UK from October 2017 to March 2021. At Santander, Vladimir developed a gradient boosting classification algorithm for customer screening, significantly reducing false positives and saving over 50 full-time equivalent positions. Vladimir also designed a tree-based model for churn prevention, leveraging PCA and T-SNE techniques for enhanced performance. Earlier experience includes a Machine Learning Analyst Intern position at Parker Fitzgerald, where Vladimir applied various algorithms to assess financial stability, and a Fixed Income Trader Intern role at Numis Securities, focusing on fund performance analysis and market research.
