Sheila M. Smith, Ph.D., is the Senior Director at the Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence (OCALI), where they work to enhance outcomes for individuals with complex disabilities and lead the Autism Internet Modules (AIM) project. Prior to this, they served as a Specialist at Fairfax County Public Schools from 1994 to 2004 and held roles as a Special Education Teacher at both Lamar County School District and Griffin Psychoeducational Center from 1984 to 1994. Sheila earned a Ph.D. in Special Education from The University of Kansas, along with a Master of Education from George Mason University and a Bachelor's degree from Marywood University. Throughout their career, Sheila has been recognized for their contributions to the field, including receiving the 2007 CEC Division on DD Herbert J. Prehm Student Presentation Award.
