Judy Ta is an experienced health program intern currently with OCAPICA, beginning in January 2021. Prior to this role, Judy served as a peer health educator at UCI's Center for Student Wellness and Health Promotion, where responsibilities included coordinating a 10-week course on compassion in healthcare, creating outreach materials, and developing professional communication skills. Additional experience includes working as a research assistant to support substance use recovery research, and serving as a student health and wellness intern with ASUCI, where Judy contributed to initiatives focused on enhancing student health services. Judy also interned in public relations for the Undergraduate Public Health Association, aiding in the promotion of health summits and enhancing social media engagement. Education includes a degree from UC Irvine (2017-2021) and completion of high school at Rosemead High School (2013-2017).

The Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance, Inc. (OCAPICA) was established in 1997 with the mission to build a healthier and stronger community by enhancing the well-being of Asians and Pacific Islanders through inclusive partnerships in the areas of service, education, advocacy, organizing, and research. These community-driven activities seek to empower Asians and Pacific Islanders to define and control their lives and the future of their community.
