Desmond Cheong

Desmond Cheong is a seasoned financial professional currently serving as Vice President and Offshore Premier Manager for North Asia at OCBC since April 2024. Previously, Desmond held various leadership roles at UOB from January 2013 to March 2024, including Wealth Banking Team Head, where notable achievements included being recognized as the Top Wealth Banking Team Head in 2023 and qualifying for prestigious conventions such as the UOB-Pru Full Year Banca Convention in Greece and the Regional Achievers’ Convention in Osaka, Japan in 2024. Desmond also excelled as the Personal Wealth Team Head, leading the team to multiple Sales Championship accolades and mentoring talent to achieve Platinum awards. Earlier career experience includes roles at the Ministry of Manpower as an Assistant Employment Inspector. Desmond Cheong holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Economics and Management from the University of London International Programmes.
