Magdalene Ong

Magdalene Ong is a seasoned professional in compliance and financial crime quality assurance, currently serving as Team Lead, ED, at OCBC, where responsibilities include overseeing financial crime topics and supporting the Group Head of Quality Assurance. Previously, Magdalene held the position of Internal Auditor VP and APAC team lead at Morgan Stanley, where leadership entailed audit coverage of APAC wealth management and compliance matters, including anti-money laundering. Magdalene's experience also includes serving as Assistant Director at the Monetary Authority of Singapore, supervising licensed banks and participating in onsite inspections, along with a brief secondment to FINMA in Switzerland focusing on risk management. Earlier in the career, Magdalene worked as an Associate at EY, handling financial audits for various corporates. Magdalene holds a First Class Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Nanyang Technological University Singapore.
