Masoud Valizadeh is currently the Director of Data Science and Analytics at the Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) and serves as a Clinical Professor of Data Science and Analytics at Northern Illinois University (NIU) School of Business. In previous roles at OCC, Masoud led various projects in enterprise risk management and was recognized multiple times with the Commitment to Excellence Award and the CEO Award. Masoud’s PhD research focused on strongly correlated systems, utilizing computational physics and mathematical modeling. They earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the University of Tehran and advanced degrees in Computational Physics from the University of Missouri-Columbia, achieving a perfect GPA.
