Carmel Levitan

Carmel Levitan possesses extensive experience in academia, currently serving as Interim Director of Sponsored Research and previously holding positions as Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor as well as Director of the Center for Teaching Excellence at Occidental College since August 2009. Prior experience includes a role as Postdoctoral Scientist at Oxford University from May 2007 to July 2009, and a position as Statistical Analyst at UC Berkeley between January 2004 and May 2005. Carmel Levitan earned a PhD in Bioengineering from both the University of California, Berkeley and the University of California, San Francisco from 2001 to 2007, along with educational experiences at Stanford University.
