Devon Sakamoto

Devon Sakamoto, EdD, MPH, currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Students for the Emmons Wellness Center at Occidental College, a position held since January 2022. Prior experience includes roles at the University of California, Riverside, where responsibilities spanned from Director of The WELL to Lead Coordinator for Wellness Programming, and Coordinator for Health Education Initiatives, managing health programs and peer education. Earlier career experience as a Health Education Specialist with Contra Costa County Health Services involved delivering patient education and group presentations on reproductive health. Devon Sakamoto is pursuing a Doctor of Education in Leadership and Innovation at Arizona State University and holds a Master of Public Health degree from The George Washington University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Women's Studies from the University of California, Riverside.
