Rachael Warecki

Rachael Warecki is a seasoned communications professional currently serving as the Senior Director of Communications at Occidental College since November 2023, after previously holding the role of Director of Communications at Scripps College from March 2019 to November 2023. Rachael's earlier experience includes positions as an Assistant Director of News & Strategic Communications and a News & Strategic Communications Specialist at Scripps College, as well as a Public Relations and Media Specialist at Hollywood Burbank Airport, where responsibilities spanned content creation, social media management, and community engagement. Rachael's expertise is complemented by a brief tenure as a MacDowell Fellow in Literature and a background in teaching English at Locke High School through Teach for America. Rachael's academic credentials include an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University Los Angeles, an M.A. in Urban Education Policy from Loyola Marymount University, and a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Scripps College.
