Sunil Mathew

Sunil Mathew is Vice President, Strategic Planning, Analysis and Business Development, at Occidental. In this role, he oversees the company’s planning and global business development functions and supports management in the development of short and long-term plans, annual capital allocation and business unit-performance tracking.

Mr. Mathew has 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He joined Occidental in 2004, and has held positions of increasing responsibility with the planning group in Qatar and the Corporate Planning and Analysis function in Los Angeles and Houston. Previously, he worked for Schlumberger in Dubai and Kuala Lumpur and supported the sales and implementation of petroleum economics and portfolio management solutions for clients in the Middle East and Asia.

Mr. Mathew holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, India, and an MBA from T. A. Pai Management Institute, India.​
