Gleb Krivovyaz

VP of Engineering at Occipital

Gleb Krivovyaz has been in the tech industry since 2006. Gleb began their career as a Researcher at the MSU Graphics & Media Lab, where they conducted research in computer vision topics such as feature points detection and description, image matching, dense stereo computation, face recognition, camera calibration, 3D reconstruction from images and point clouds, and some others. In 2009, they became Lead R&D Engineer at LabCV, where they developed algorithms and prototyped in Matlab, with further efficient implementation in C++, in topics such as image matching, camera and projector calibration, and 3D modelling and reconstruction. In 2011, they Co-Founded and became CTO of Mobile Mapping Technologies, where they led the team of R&D engineers responsible for development of technology for automatic traffic signs detection and recognition in video. In 2013, they became a Software Engineer at Align Technology, where they were responsible for software implementation of clinical features for Invisalign. In 2014, they Co-Founded and became CTO of GeoCV, and in 2019 they joined Occipital as VP of Engineering and Head of the Moscow Office, where they were responsible for building and managing engineering teams, overseeing software development processes and culture, and aligning engineering efforts with the major business goals.

Gleb Krivovyaz obtained their PhD in Computer Science from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) between 2009 and 2013. Gleb also obtained a M.S. in Computer Science from the same university between 2004 and 2009.
