Gregory Helms serves as the Manager of the Fish Conservation Program and the Manager of Pacific Programs at Ocean Conservancy since January 2003. Prior to this role, Gregory held the position of Conservation Representative with the Cal Fish & Wildlife Marine Protected Areas Regional Stakeholder Group from February 2008 to December 2010, where responsibilities included representing conservation interests in establishing marine protected areas along the southern California coast, integrating scientific recommendations with community and fishing industry perspectives. Additionally, Gregory was the Director of Community Affairs for the Environmental Defense Center from 1995 to 2000. Gregory holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy Analysis from UC Santa Barbara, obtained from 1985 to 1989.
