J. Sarah Sorenson

J. Sarah Sorenson is an experienced professional in the nonprofit sector with a focus on individual philanthropy and environmental advocacy. Currently serving as the Director of Individual Philanthropy at Ocean Conservancy since July 2016, J. Sarah Sorenson has previously held key positions at San Diego Coastkeeper as a Strategy & Fundraising Advisor, and at Potomac Riverkeeper Network, where leadership encompassed fundraising, communications, and operational strategies. J. Sarah Sorenson also contributed as a Board Member for the Udall Alumni Association, promoting environmental leadership, and began the career as an Education and Outreach Coordinator at Food & Water Watch. J. Sarah Sorenson earned a BA in Environmental Studies with a concentration in policy, sustainable development, and environmental justice from Colby College.
