Taryn Cohen

Taryn Cohen is an experienced nonprofit professional specializing in resource development and fundraising. Currently serving as the Resource Development Manager at Ocean Conservancy since September 2017, Taryn is responsible for various tasks including grants management, corporate partnerships, event planning, and project management, with a focus on ocean conservation and environmental science. Previously, Taryn held roles at Bright Beginnings, Inc. as a Senior Development Coordinator and Development Specialist, contributing to community engagement, grant writing, and donor relations. Earlier experience includes internships at Sister Cities International and Carpenter's Shelter, as well as roles in community outreach and mentoring with Hands for Africa and Gulf Coast Jewish Family Services. Taryn holds a Master of Arts in Applied Anthropology from California State University, Long Beach, and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of South Florida.
