Thomas Scanlon

Thomas Scanlon has worked as a Deck Chief at Ocean Exploration Trust since January 2023. In this role, they support the safe launch and recovery of onboard vehicles and assists with planned maintenance on deck equipment. Prior to that, they worked as a Stage 4 Rigger and Submersible Pilot at an undisclosed company from July 2017 to January 2023. Thomas also served as a Barge Supervisor and Stability Engineer at Altea Resources Group from July 2016 to June 2017, a Barge Supervisor at Songa Opus Offshore Drilling Pte. Ltd. from September 2015 to April 2016, and a Night Barge Supervisor from November 2011 to September 2015. Thomas started their career as an Assistant Barge Supervisor and Ballast control room operator at Transocean in 2010 and worked as a Barge Supervisor at Larsen Oil and Gas Pte Ltd from 2004 to 2010.
