Mary Kate Lively

Mary Kate Lively has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and technology. Mary Kate is currently working at OceanFirst Bank as a VP, Information Security Manager - Operations & Engineering since July 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of AVP, Senior Information Security Analyst at the same company from January 2023 to August 2023. Before joining OceanFirst Bank, Mary worked as an Information Security Analyst at Asset Inventories from April 2018 to July 2020, where they collaborated with different business lines to implement controls and establish security policies. Mary Kate also performed trend analysis on current security issues and investigated insider threat incidents. Prior to that, Mary worked as an Information Technology Technician at Henry Schein from March 2016 to April 2018, providing desktop support for global video conferencing meetings and managing technical setup in conference rooms and auditoriums. Mary Kate started their career as an NBA Dream Team Intern at Cisco in January 2015.

Mary Kate Lively holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Cybersecurity Management and Leadership from the University of New Haven, which they obtained from 2022 to 2025. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Farmingdale State College from 2013 to 2015. In the earlier years of their education, Mary Kate attended John Jay College (CUNY) from 2011 to 2013, majoring in Criminal Justice. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained certifications in Network+ from CompTIA in October 2021 and Security+ from CompTIA in December 2017.
