Umamahesan Rajaratnam has extensive work experience in the textile industry, with a focus on knitting operations and production engineering.

From 2004 to 2004, they completed an in-plant training at Stretchline Holdings Ltd., where they analyzed elastic sample swatches, prepared technical spec sheets, and conducted lab testing for samples.

In 2011, they joined Ocean Lanka (Pvt) Ltd as a Senior Production Engineer, responsible for knitting technical and quality aspects. Umamahesan set up machines for sample production, analyzed sample swatches, drew patterns, and maintained quality parameters in bulk production.
